Flanders in a flash Part 1: Ghent

Theboy came, theboy left. And what a wonderful time we had. Or maybe I should say: What a wonderful time he gave me, since he did all the navigation and legwork. ;D

On Friday we went,
to the great city of Ghent,
with the sun's glorious rays.
Oh, happy day!

For our lunch in Ghent: quite possibly the best fries in the whole of Belgium. In my humble opinion. And also in the same vein of the afore-mentioned opinion, mayonnaise-free is the way to be. (Oooh, rhyming can be fun)

A double-scoop of creamy Italian gelato makes the gothic architecture even more charming, if you marry the two, hand-in-hand, mouth-to-eye.
And the river was just, teeming with people. By this I mean it was a take-your-sandwich-out-of-your-bag and stretch-your-naked-legs sort of crowd.

And look at who feels cheery today. In a Charlie Chaplin sort of way. (Rhyming! Charming!)

In a while
after rest and coffee,
will follow the photographic gems of all smiles.
So why don't you look later and see?
